About Thomas

Thomas was born and raised in Somerset, Kentucky. He grew up hunting and fishing the lands of Pulaski County, Kentucky, and is now an avid bow hunter and fanatic of all things Kentucky sports.

A Little Bit About Myself:

I grew up, as many of you did, with a passion for the outdoors. That began with my father letting me tag along on his hunting trips with friends and family. Those experiences morphed into going out on solo hunts to figure the woods out for myself. Most lessons have been learned the hard way. Back then, there was no consideration of wind direction, time of year, or how I was getting to my stand. To say that I didn’t know much about deer hunting at that age would be an understatement.

Even on those mornings when I wouldn’t see anything more than squirrels and birds, one thing remained true – a bad sit in a tree stand was usually better than a good day anywhere else. I remember when I first started hunting not being able to sleep the night before due to the anticipation of what was to come. Being so excited and hopeful that you can’t sleep is a rare gift I wish more people could enjoy. If you do not know your passion, I encourage you to find it. For me, it’s chasing deer around the hills of Kentucky.

As I have grown in my passion for hunting, I have equally grown in my passion for habitat management with the purpose of growing a deer herd that rivals anywhere in the country. I have had the privilege of hunting really good private land and very pressured public lands, and there is an undeniable truth about hunting a healthy deer herd: The right combination of food, water, cover, and safety can be magical. It can quite literally turn a property upside down when we incorporate these ideas.

There are two reasons for my passion for deer hunting and the outdoors. First, I believe that the world we find ourselves in is merely a glimpe of the goodness found in our Creator, Jesus Christ. Our world is a testimony of His goodness and beauty. There isn’t much in the world that reminds me of His goodness more than the gift we call ‘The Great Outdoors.’ Second, I am passionate about hunting and habitat management because I believe that making memories can add a great amount of joy to the lives of those passionate about the outdoors. Some of my favorite memories have been made huddled around a bowl of chili with great friends the night before opening day.

My hope is that everybody can enjoy the outdoors like I do, especially deer hunters. Let’s face it, it is more fun to hunt a property with a healthy deer population than a property where you often don’t even see a deer while on stand. So on top of my passion for the outdoors, I want you and your family to enjoy Creation and I hope to play a part in making that a reality!

Bow Hunting

One of my favorite things to do is bow hunt. The drive to improve, challenge myself, and grow as an outdoorsman is at the center of my passion for deer hunting.

Cutting new lanes and roads through the timber for hunter access and defined movement.

Habitat Management

There is no quality hunting without quality habitat. In today’s world, it is the conservationists’ responsibility to preserve the great liberty of hunting.
